Workshop OEM retrofits

We retrofit vehicles with genuine BMW components, from adding factory options to custom projects that go beyond manufacturer-supported configurations.

Depending on the project, the work includes component selection, hardware installation, fabrication or routing of the required wiring, programming, coding and testing of the implemented functions. When planning the work, we consider the vehicle’s electronic architecture, factory wiring diagrams and hardware compatibility.

For retrofits supported by the manufacturer for the specific model and vehicle configuration, we assess the options for factory-standard integration, adding options to the FA/VO and subsequent diagnostics, programming and servicing.

With custom retrofits or components not intended for the vehicle’s original configuration, the implemented functions may operate correctly while subsequent factory-standard vehicle programming may be restricted. We assess the options for factory-standard diagnostics, programming and servicing for each project and discuss any limitations before work begins.

The possibility of registering the installed options in BMW’s backend systems and displaying them in BMW AIR is checked separately for each retrofit and is not guaranteed for every project.
