FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to the most common questions about remote services, programming, diagnostics and other technical solutions for your vehicle. If you cannot find the answer to your question, please contact us — we will be happy to advise you personally.

  • We specialise in BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles. We work with modern BMW platforms, including F, G, I and U series, as well as selected earlier models — depending on the required service, the condition of the vehicle and the technical requirements.

  • Yes. We provide remote coding, diagnostics and software services worldwide, as well as services at our workshop in Poland. Some procedures can be carried out entirely remotely, while more complex diagnostics, control unit repairs, retrofits or post-accident electronic repairs may require a visit to the workshop.

  • Many types of work can be carried out remotely, including vehicle diagnostics, coding, software configuration, region conversion, head unit coding, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto activation, navigation map updates, FSC handling and selected programming procedures. Compatibility depends on the vehicle, platform and specific service.

  • For a remote session, you will need a laptop running Windows 10 or Windows 11 with administrator rights, a BMW ENET cable, TeamViewer (or another application agreed with us), a stable internet connection, and uninterrupted physical access to the vehicle throughout the session. The vehicle’s 12 V battery must be sufficiently charged; for programming, software updates, or longer procedures, a professional stabilised power supply may also be required. Remote services are available for supported BMW Group vehicles from the F, G, U and I series. BMW E-series and MINI R-series vehicles are not serviced remotely and must be brought to our workshop.

  • Simple coding usually takes 15–30 minutes. More complex tasks, such as diagnostics, programming, region conversion or software recovery, may take longer depending on the condition of the vehicle, the quality of the connection and the number of control units involved.

  • Yes, when it is carried out correctly. We use professional BMW diagnostic and programming tools, follow OEM-oriented procedures and check the vehicle’s condition before making any changes. In complex cases, we may first recommend diagnostics to minimise risks and determine the correct repair approach.

  • Standard coding is generally safe and reversible. Programming and control unit recovery are more complex procedures and depend on the condition of the vehicle, power supply stability, connection quality and the current software state. Before starting work, we assess the situation and explain any potential risks if they are relevant.

  • Coding itself is usually reversible and does not make any physical changes to the vehicle. However, final warranty decisions are always made by the dealer or manufacturer. We use OEM-oriented methods wherever possible, but we recommend avoiding unnecessary dealer software updates after custom coding or activations.

  • A dealer software update may remove custom coding, activations or other software changes. In this case, the service may need to be applied again. Before visiting the dealer, we recommend asking the service advisor not to perform vehicle programming unless it is necessary and approved by you.

  • In many cases, yes. If the vehicle has been updated by a dealer or another workshop and the previous coding or activation has been removed, we can check the vehicle and reapply the required configuration, provided the current software version and vehicle compatibility allow it.

  • A workshop visit is recommended for complex electrical diagnostics, control unit repairs, module recovery, OEM retrofits, wiring work, electronic restoration after an accident, work on the factory anti-theft system, transmission adaptation, hybrid and electric vehicle diagnostics, and cases where remote access is not technically sufficient.

  • Yes. We work on modern BMW hybrid and electric vehicles, including diagnostics, software faults, communication issues between control units and electronic repairs after accidents. Work on high-voltage systems requires correct procedures and is carried out with extra care.

  • Yes. We carry out control unit diagnostics, flashing, software recovery and selected types of ECU repair. In many cases, units that appear to be “dead” after unsuccessful programming, incorrect coding or software failure can be tested and potentially recovered.

  • Yes. We carry out OEM retrofits with integration as close to factory specification as possible. This may include hardware installation, wiring, FA/VO coding, control unit programming and final configuration to ensure the retrofit works as intended.

  • Yes. We carry out BMW conversions from US to European specification and vice versa, including region coding, navigation maps, radio settings, lighting adaptation and other software changes required for the vehicle to function correctly in the target region.

  • Yes. We work with independent workshops, retrofit specialists and automotive companies that require professional BMW support: coding, programming, diagnostics or remote technical assistance. Partnership terms depend on the type of service, scope of work and technical requirements.

  • Yes. To check compatibility and provide a quote, we need the vehicle’s VIN. The VIN allows us to identify the model, production year, equipment, platform and available service options.

  • Payment methods are confirmed individually before the service is carried out. For remote work, payment is usually made before the session begins. For workshop services, the final payment method may depend on the scope of work and the booking format.

  • Yes. We remain available after the service has been completed. If you have any questions about the result of the work or require further clarification, you can contact us — we will review the information and advise you on the next steps.
